It’s TIME to strive to be 1% BETTER tomorrow than you are right now! What’s one thing you can change that you know will move you closer to your excellence? Start with that one thing…and keep striving with small steps each day!

 

The Dailey WEIGHT LOSS Tip: Eat what you’ve always eaten, and weigh what you’ve always weighed. It’s proven that you can’t out train a bad diet, so this week I challenge you to really look at the foods you are putting in the hole under your nose. Try to stick to the Warrior “Top 20” list-attached! For one week, ditch ALL processed/package/fast foods & see what happens. Watch your portion sizes and be SURE you are getting a balance of carbs/protein/fat. YES! You need ALL of them to get your metabolism firing, your muscles to recover, and to perform your BEST!

Hope you are surviving the wintery week…and staying persistent with your thoughts & actions so you will reach your goals DESPITE the obstacles! It’s a fact, things that you cannot control will always happen. However…how you react to those things will either push you closer to success, or move you further away. The ONLY thing holding you back from success is yourself!

 

The Dailey CALORIE BURNING Tip: DID YOU KNOW….that drinking a glass of ice water can burn 25 calories?! Drinking a glass before bed can reduce heart attack risk too! The benefits of water just keep coming!!! Drink an extra glass today!

 

***CLASS UPDATE***

The group training schedule is business as usual for the rest of the week-despite the frigid temps! There are 6am classes Thur & Fri. No one should risk life and limb to make it to their workouts if you are not comfortable driving…but do know that the 4 person minimum still applies to keep these classes on schedule this week. Out of respect to the folks that are signed up for 6am already, the deadline to RSVP for the 6am classes is 9:30pm tonight & Thurs night. In the event of a class cancellation, you will receive an automatic email notification if you are already signed up. It may be cold outside…but we will certainly HEAT things up at the studio!

ARE YOU READY for SNOW?!?!?!

It’s not officially winter until we see some white stuff! Not sure how much we will get, but get your mindset RIGHT! Let go of what you can’t control…and SHIFT your thoughts & actions. With snow comes delays, cancellations, empty shelves at the grocery stores, panic in preparation, and drivers attempting to outsmart the slick spots. Those are the “negatives” or the inconveniences that are bound to occur over the next few days or more. But don’t forget the positives. There is nothing more tranquil, quiet, and beautiful than snow falling. There is nothing more heart WARMING than the excitement & anticipation it brings to children & adults alike…and lets not forget our four legged friends! Embrace the closings & delays ahead as an OPPORTUNITY to connect with your inner child. Allow the snow to make you SLOW DOWN, and take it in.

 

***If you are a student at Dailey Fitness…check your emails & online schedule BEFORE heading out to your classes tonight/tomorrow! If you are signed up for a class & it is canceled, you will receive an automatic email update. If you haven’t signed up for it yet, you can check online to see if it’s still on or not! No need to risk life and limb to “BATTLE” Battleground! There will be plenty of opportunity to get your workouts in later in the week…and I will certainly consider ADDING more classes if needed once the roads clear.

 

Live by the mantra “1% Better Everyday.” While it often takes 10,000 hours or 10 years to be recognized as an expert in something, you certainly can focus on daily improvement to enhance the quality of your life.

 

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: It’s just as easy to buy the good stuff as it is the bad. Make sure you buy the GOOD! Best bet is to shop the perimeter of the grocery store to avoid the processed/packaged foods! Remember, a little extra effort every day adds up! 1% BETTER TODAY!

It’s TIME to plan for greatness! In order to reach your goals this week…you must choose to work from the right “end” that will allow you to create action! Get your mindset RIGHT! You can’t change what you didn’t do yesterday, but you can chose & control what you do right now! Make a conscious effort to make strong choices so you gain momentum towards your biggest goals!!!

 

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: Start slow when making changes to your eating habits. We want PERMANENT changes & no relapses! Add just ONE healthy food this week…and next week add another…and keep that going! For every good habit you adopt…make sure you are purging a bad one! Small steps EVERY day add up!
