I LOVE this quote!!! In your quest to reaching your full potential at anything, be careful how you measure progress. If you are constantly comparing your efforts & results to that of others, you will not get an accurate measure. Your personal best is just that… it’s PERSONAL! Remember our W.O.W (word of the week): BELIEF. Get rid of a limiting BELIEF system! BELIEVE in yourself, your talents, & your strengths to help you reach your personal BEST!

The Dailey WEIGHT LOSS TRICK/Tip: BRUSH YOUR TEETH! The trick to this weight-loss tip is to use peppermint toothpaste! The flavor is proven to suppress your appetite. Plus, brushing your teeth sends a signal to your brain that you’re done eating, so you’ll likely limit your snacking after you’ve brushed. Besides, a fresh mouth might land you MORE KISSES!

CLASS UPDATE: Top # of Mountain Climbers to beat = 110!!! One of our “ROCK STAR” class members (who insists on remaining anonymous) CRUSHED it this am! Who can come close?

Hey Sunday FUNday fans!

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend! Tomorrow is President’s Day! Whether you are enjoying the holiday off work or not, start your week strong with EXERCISE!

Get MOVING on MONDAY! Come take a Dailey Fitness Functional Fitness class, bundle up and get outside for a good walk/run/bike ride, or hit the gym!

However you can…for however long you can…GET MOVING!

The W.O.W. is BELIEF! This is one of the most important ingredients for success. It doesn’t matter whether you are an athlete, business professional, coach, actor, or just an every day “Joe or Jane”…you must BELIEVE in yourself. From weight loss goals to climbing the corporate ladder to building your legacy…it all starts with BELIEF that your dream is possible. It’s easy to BELIEVE when things are going well. Not so easy when there’s trouble. There you are, staring at adversity, feeling alone, that’s when your belief is really tested. And that’s when you need it most. Some of you know this because you have lived it already. For others, it may be just around the bend. How is your BELIEF right now? This week, BELIEVE in yourself to achieve your biggest goal. You CAN do it!

CLASS UPDATE: Who’s coming to the Monday Fitness classes? 6am & 6pm?! Come 1, come all…but let me know you are coming! I need to know how many to set up for.

The DAILEY CHALLENGE: 60 SECONDS of MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS!!! How many can you do in 1 minute? When done at a fast pace, the mountain climber is both a strengthening and conditioning drill. It’ll sculpt your core from every angle and skyrocket your metabolism, so you’ll burn stubborn belly fat long after you’re finished. Get after it, do as many reps as possible & let me know your number!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Surround yourself with love every day & give away as much of it as you can! Be sure tell others how much you love them! Live each day with NO REGRETS, for tomorrow is promised to no one!

Speaking of NO REGRETS, there is a Flex class tonight at 6pm that is sure to bring peace & balance to your mind, body & soul. It’s also a great thing to share with your Valentine! It’s not to late to bring them for free! Hope to see you both there!

The Dailey VALENTINE HEALTH Tip: Eat HEART-Healthy! A healthy diet is one of the best ways to prevent cardiovascular disease. Ensuring that your diet is low in fat, cholesterol and salt and rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains decreases your risk of heart disease. Decreasing sources of saturated and trans-fats in your diet is a big step in making your diet heart healthy. Major sources of these cholesterol-raising fats include red meat, dairy products, fried foods and packaged snacks. By avoiding these sources and adding at least five servings of fruit and vegetables, your diet will be a building block in your goal of heart health. Unfortunately though, a recent study found that more than 90 percent of Americans fail to consistently eat a heart-healthy diet. These poor eating habits increase the risk of heart disease, stroke and obesity.

CLASS UPDATE: Two classes tomorrow morning…and I NEED a head count! (6 & 9:30am Functional Fitness!)

I am super stoked that so many of you are taking advantage of the classes by attending different ones from week to week! I want to make sure you have as many options as possible to keep your health & fitness at the top of your priority list. Help me make the classes BETTER by letting me know when you are coming from one day to the next. A text or quick email is perfect- the night before or within a few hours before each class. With limited space in my room PLUS the fact I have to drag things in & out from my closet for each class makes it hard to plan. Knowing if I will have 3 people or 20 will really help me plan the BEST class possible for those attending!

ASHE WEDNESDAY!

It’s the beginning of Lent! Many of you are giving up something very important to you for the next 40 days. Regardless of whether you are doing this to support your religious beliefs, or you are making a sacrifice as a testament of personal strength – doing without anything that you treasure for 40 days is a true challenge. I think it is an AWESOME thing to do at any point during the year. I’d love to hear what YOU are giving up, so that I can give you ongoing support for the next 40 days! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

The Dailey ENERGY BOOSTING Tip: EAT SMART CARBS!!! Carbs may be the foe of fad diets, but they’re vital for boosting energy and mood. They are the body’s preferred source of fuel, plus they raise levels of the feel-good chemical, serotonin. The key is to avoid sweets, which cause blood sugar to spike and plummet, making you feel tired and moody. Instead, pick whole grains like whole-wheat bread, brown rice, and cereal. Your body absorbs whole grains more slowly, keeping your blood sugar and energy levels stable. Sweet potatoes, oatmeal (gluten-free oatmeal works too), rice, quinoa, & beans are also GREAT complex carbs to keep you feeling great every day!

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day! I’m working on a special workout for my Functional Fitness groups to get you in the mood for LOVE! Flex’ers…as a special treat, I hope you will bring the one you love to class with you (for free!)! RELAX with corrective exercises & head out for a special Valentine’s date afterwards! Give me a head’s up if you are bringing a “date” to class so I will know how many to plan for!

Hello Beautiful People!

How many times have you given up on a goal, backed away from a challenge, or listened to someone that told you that “you will never be able to” do something? It is normal to fear the unknown, and even more scary to defy the odds that might be stacked up against you. Some of the world’s most inspiring people, the greatest inventions, and modern conveniences would NOT be here without DETERMINATION to prove that anything is possible. Before you write off your next big accomplishment…think about it. With enough DETERMINATION, you can achieve anything!! ANYTHING!

The Dailey HEALTH Tip: AVOID REGULAR USE OF IBUPROFEN! It could be a stroke waiting to happen!!! This common ingredient is used in OTC medications like Advil, Motrin and Midol. However, overdosing can put you at a higher risk for strokes and heart attacks. Furthermore, it can damage your kidneys and increase your risk for stomach bleeding. The maximum daily dose of ibuprofen is 1200 mg, which equates to about 6 regular strength pills. Also, for chronic pain, you shouldn’t take it for more than 10 days. In fact, try not to take it more than three days a week. While taking ibuprofen, make sure to monitor your blood pressure, especially if it tends to run too high. Need to kill a headache or relieve body pain? Drink more water! Take Magnesium for headaches. Eat foods with tumeric & ginger to reduce inflammation in the body.

CLASS UPDATE: Flex at 9:30am ….it will be a SMALL class, but it will be a GREAT class! Fitness at 6pm is a sure fire way to end the day with a good sweat & feeling of accomplishment! Can’t wait to see both groups tomorrow! Hope to see you there!

Hey Monday Maniacs!

Hope your week is off to a fantastic & productive start with DETERMINATION fueling your fire to succeed!

“Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.” Very appropriate words to to inspire our “W.O.W.” (word of the week): DETERMINATION! The bottom line is that you never know what you are capable of until you put one foot forward and simply TRY it. Now GO FOR IT today!

I can’t remember a season so cold & flu infested as right now!! Since living in a bubble is not an option, we have to be proactive every day to keep ourselves healthy! I stumbled across Dr. Oz’s article and found a few tidbits that I had not heard before. Maybe you will too!

CLASS UPDATE: BIG KUDOS to the Mon. morning early crew for getting after a challenging “BOSU only” workout! This workout progressively challenged the mind and body on so many levels! Hard way to start a Monday…but way to CRUSH IT! Due to the size of the 6pm class, you guys & gals may not get the entire grind from this morning, but you can surely bank on seeing a good bit of it! TOMORROW: 2 Fitness classes in the am, and a Flex in the pm! Let DETERMINATION to reach your fitness goals keep one or both classes at the top of your priority list for Tuesday!

Happy Sunday FUNday everyone!

What a gorgeous weekend! I hope you all got your dose of sunshine & fresh air as it looks to be a wet few days ahead! Get your raincoats & goulashes out and get ready to CREATE your own sunshine! There is no reason we can’t CREATE the best week ever!

This week’s “W.O.W.” is DETERMINATION! Let me tell you, ANYTHING is possible when we have enough DETERMINATION behind our efforts. DETERMINATION is a mindset of being willing to do whatever it takes to follow your top priorities. Nothing can keep you down for long when you are DETERMINED to succeed. How can DETERMINATION empower you to perform at a higher level this week? Set your TOP 5 list for the week with DETERMINATION to cross them all off…AND THEN SOME!!!

CLASS UPDATE: Functional Fitness tomorrow at 6am and 6pm! Early birds…I can ASSURE you that I WILL have the keys for the 6am class! I am DETERMINED to start this week off with some awesome energy! HUGE favor: let me know who’s coming to the 6am! I have some tricks up my sleeve, but need to have a head count to make it work.

The Dailey MENTAL HEALTH Tip: GO TO BED EARLY TONIGHT! Mondays come at us fast and furious! Start your week STRONG by getting an extra hour of shut eye tonight! Studies prove that we are much better at handling stress, problem solving, and are more productive when we are well rested!

THREE CHEERS FRO FRIDAY!!!

As we head into the weekend, I want to encourage you to reflect back on the week you are leaving behind! What was your BEST moment? What was your WORST moment? What are you going to do next week to make the most of your worst moment & turn it into something great?

The “W.O.W.” is FIRST-CLASS! Did you keep this word close to you & put forth your FIRST-CLASS effort this week? I hope so! I know my fitness & flex groups definitely put in FIRST-CLASS efforts with their workouts & body maintenance all week. If you aren’t in those classes (which by the way you should be!), did you put in the work necessary to get FIRST-CLASS results with your heath & fitness? FIRST-CLASS is not just about health & fitness, it applies to every aspect of life. To achieve the best results possible in career, relationships, marriage, community, etc….you must be willing to go the extra mile. Avoid the path of least resistance. Never quit!

What you put in is what you ultimately walk away with!

The DAILEY WEEKEND CHALLENGE: KEEP MOVING!!! After a hard long week, you might be looking forward to a little R&R. (I know I am!) Well, your mind and body need rest and recovery…so be sure to get it! But with sunny skies & temps in the 50’s this weekend…take advantage of it and get out side for some exercise! If you have worked out HARD all week, go for a nice long recovery WALK. If you fell short on the workouts this week, take a run or a bike ride…and mix in a functional fitness circuit with some form of lunges, pushups, squats, and pull-up’s (any variety you can do!). ANYTHING is better than nothing, and it will make the reward of the R&R afterwards feel even sweeter!

I have BIG things in store for you next week, so get your mindset RIGHT to push yourself into FIRST-CLASS!

Happy HUMP Day!!!

We are half way to the weekend, and hopefully half way to CRUSHING this week’s goals! Stay focused my friends! Reaching goals requires discipline. No matter how many obstacles you come across, no matter how many set backs you encounter, & no matter how many “nay-sayers” run interference with their disbelief…YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TO!!!

The Dailey SMART SHOPPING Tip: SKIP THE PACKAGED STUFF! Good health starts in your shopping cart. Packaged foods are quick and cost-effective but can be loaded with harmful ingredients. Buying the best foods doesn’t stop at reducing unwanted fat and calories. Packaged items can contain artificial ingredients that your body doesn’t know how to process! Avoid any products with these ingredients on the label: diacetyl, artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, high-fructose corn syrup, brown rice syrup, hydrogenated anything!

CLASS UPDATE: If you are coming to Functional Fitness tonight, GET READY! The group was off-the-hook on Monday! I’m looking forward to seeing them crush it again tonight! Can’t make it tonight? There are 2 Fitness classes in the am, and a much needed Flex class tomorrow at 6pm! No excuses….you’ve got GOALS to reach!
