How’s your STORY?

Posted on

“The story of your life is just a story. So if you don’t like the life you’re living, than change your story.”

Monday is as good a day as ANY to start REWRITING your story! Even if you are living the story of your dreams…you can still make it BETTER! You’re only given one life on this earth…make it one worth telling a story about!

Every day awakes with possibility. Some days you grind the hard yards with effort and integrity without seeing return on your investment, perhaps experiencing difficulty rather than reward generic singulair. But remember, what you do each day LAYERS and can prove to pay off many years later. Purpose and Passion must be sustained with Patience for your Performance to net it’s Potential. In an immediate gratification society, remember the value of patience with long term effort doing the right things day by day. Stay the course and keep your head up, eyes to the sky.

Every rep, every set, every day…every effort adds up!

MAKE IT HAPPEN this week!

Be on your BEST Behavior!

“You can’t talk your way out of what you behave yourself into.” ~Stephen R Covey

Reality Check: If you’re not reaching your weight loss goal, haven’t stuck to your “Choose 1-Lose 1”, not getting the promotion you desire at work, not getting the most from your relationships…you have to step back and look at your ACTIONS! Are you BEHAVING yourself into a rut…or in a manner that produces RESULTS?

The month isn’t over…and tomorrow is a NEW DAY! Shoot to become 1% better than you are today! Small steps ADD UP!

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: Make sure you are HYDRATED! Being adequately hydrated will help with appetite control. Most folks THINK they get enough, yet most can’t even calculate how much water they have had at the end of the day. Rule of thumb: if you don’t know, you haven’t had nearly enough!!! Shoot for your body weight in ounces DAILY!

LIVE your best!

Don’t Back Down!

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: CAN THE SODA HABIT (diet & regular)! I assumed this was something that was a non-point at this day in time, but after seeing several of my loyal students put this on their “lose 1” list for July…I realized more people are still consuming this toxic waste on a daily basis than I imagined. Stumbled across this article that really nails WHAT these drinks are doing to your health. If you, or someone you know, has a soda/diet soda habit…have them read this:

Life’s a competition against who you are today and who you want to be tomorrow.

Don’t back down, don’t turn in fear, face it head on and become unstoppable.

You’ve GOT THIS!!!

WIN your week!

“The act of taking the first step is what separates the winners from the losers.” ~Brian Tracy

New week, New goals. New OPPORTUNITY! Take that first step towards them this week. And take another one, and another, and another….

WIN your week!

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: SET TIMERS to go off to remind you to eat snacks/drink water throughout the day! Being “too busy” to nourish the body is not acceptable! By failing to prepare yourself for success…you are preparing to fail!

Create an EXTRAordinary week!

DEMAND MORE from yourself!

Posted on

“Want to be more successful? Try demanding more from yourself and less from other people.” ~James Blackburn (TFW affiliate, Trinton Falls, NJ)

It’s way easier to place blame on others when YOU don’t achieve what you set out to do. Bottom line is that the ONLY things you CAN control are your own thoughts, actions, and reactions! If you are surrounding yourself with those who hold you back…find a new TEAM! If you’re surrounded by supportive people & still falling short, then it’s time to DEMAND MORE from yourself, give up the excuses & get it done!

It’s officially the middle of the month! How are those goals, and specifically the “choose one-lose one” habits you vowed to gain/lose for the month of July? Although 15 days are behind you for the month…you still have 16 days to turn things around! The odds are IN your favor! Remember, EVERYTHING in this life…until death…is a choice! Your outcome is a direct result of the choices you make. Choose wisely!

Dailey NUTRITION Tip: Sugar is 8x more ADDICTIVE than cocaine! 8x!!!!!! Wondering why you can’t sleep, you’re hungry all the time, have anxiety, can’t lose weight, struggle through your workouts…etc??? You might be a junkie! Seek help! J

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!!

Don’t BE the obstacle!

Posted on

“There are plenty of difficult obstacles in your path. Don’t allow yourself to become one of them.” ~Ralph Marston

There is way more “I CAN” than there is “I CAN’T” in your life…so focus on that! Do at least ONE thing today that will help you eliminate “I CAN’T” from your vocabulary-forever!

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: DRINK MORE WATER! I know, you think you drink plenty! But I bet you need more. If your muscles ache every day…good chance you need more H20. If your fatigue levels are high every day…good chance you need more H20. If you have lots of hunger cravings every day…good chance you need more H20. Even if you think you drink enough, add just 20 more ounces per day and see what happens. By the way, ½ of your body weight in ounces each day is absolutely a MINIMUM…but your body weight in ounces each day is IDEAL! Get after it!

BIG THANKS to the ROAD WARRIORS that went to TFW-Winston for the charity event! They raised $1500 for the Forsyth Humane Society, we got a great workout, and there is an adoption in the works for a lucky puppy that will hopefully be joining our FAMILIA (yay Kristie)!!! We posted some pics on FB over the weekend…check it out! https://www.facebook.com/DaileyFitness?fref=ts

Happy Sunday, and CREATE your best week!

Today is a gift…be thankful for it!

HUMP DAY MOTIVATION:

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: “I am blind, please help.”

A man noticed when he was walking by that there were only a few coins in the hat. He then took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy.

That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, “Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?”

The man said, “I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way. I wrote: “Today is a beautiful day but I cannot see it.”

Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind.

Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

On this beautiful morning try to not only be thankful for everything you have but also try to find a way to help someone else. When life gives you 100 reasons to be unhappy, give it 1000 reasons to smile.

The challenge in the gym is “CHOOSE ONE, LOSE ONE”….as in habits! Choose one good/positive habit you will adopt this month, and one bad habit you will lose in order to push you towards your goals and living your BEST! If you do this at the first of every month, by the end of a year you will have gained 12 good habits and lost 12 bad habits! Way less daunting than trying to change everything at once, and most definitely more effective when it comes to long term success!

Today is a GIFT….do something AMAZING with it!

Do what you KNOW!!!

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!!

Hope you are CRUSHING your goals this week, and taking MORE steps in a positive direction to becoming your BEST!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If being in the best shape (mentally & physically) was easy…our world would be a different place. Truth is, it takes work. Every day. Constantly evaluating your choices, acknowledging/owning it when you make poor ones—and taking ACTION to make better ones each day. Fact: it is no HARDER to eat good food than to eat the bad stuff…it takes the exact same amount of energy to eat healthy foods as it does to eat unhealthy foods. It comes down to the choice…and the decision you have to make to move yourself closer to your goals, or further away…at any given moment in the 168 hours you have been blessed with each week.

Today’s challenge: DO WHAT YOU KNOW!!!

You KNOW that you need to exercise…so DO IT! You KNOW you need to eat healthy foods (& you even know what they are!)…so don’t put crap in the hole under your nose! You KNOW you need to get 7-8 hours of sleep tonight…so go to bed early enough to make that happen!

Remember…it’s all about the choices you make. Not getting the results you want? Make different choices immediately…and get them!

HALLUSSA!

(Finnish word meaning = You’ve GOT THIS!)

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: EAT FROM THE RAINBOW…at every meal! Eating foods that are colorful by nature (in their original & whole state) are packed with nutrients! Yet, many of us gravitate towards only a few colors (green, red, & orange). DIVERSIFY! Try something new! Mix up your salads, side dishes, and snacks!

CHALLENGE: add at least ONE new color to your plate today!
