WEEK 3 of the Mind & Body RESET= DITCH THE SUGAR!!!

Posted on

We may have lost an hour of sleep last night…but don’t let that stop you from CRUSHING Monday! NEW WEEK = NEW OPPORTUNITY!

What’s going to be your game changer this week? How about DITCHING THE SUGAR!!!

We are entering WEEK 3 of the Mind & Body RESET! You have already drastically altered your food intake by eating from the Top 20 list (I hope!). You have begun to increase your water intake to a minimum of ½ of your body weight in ounces every day (I hope), & maybe even attempted to work towards the goal of .033 x your body weight = the daily # liters you need to consume. THIS WEEK…really take a hard look at the amount of sugar you eat! Sugar is killing us! It’s making us fat & contributing to all kinds of health problems from heart disease, asthma, food allergies, & particularly CANCER! Good news…you can control this!

  • Quick sugar lesson: 4 grams of sugar =  1 teaspoon of sugar. The  USDA & American Heart Association both recommend a total of 6 teaspoons of sugar per day, as a healthy amount for women. So, that would be 24 grams of sugar — total — per day. That yogurt in your fridge is likely 26 grams of sugar alone! Sugar is listed on food labels under many names. Though the back of a granola bar may not list sugar as an ingredient, your body responds the same way to sugar in all its forms. Here’s a quick list of the many names sugar can hide under:  Agave nectar, cane crystals, cane sugar, stevia, corn sweetener, corn syrup, crystalline fructose, dextrose, evaporated cane juice, fructose, fruit juice concentrates, glucose, high-fructose corn syrup, honey, malt syrup, maple syrup, molasses, sucrose, and syrup.

It’s GO TIME Monday! SIGN UP! Only 2 RSVP’d for the 6am & 9am classes so far…and if we don’t get the required 4 -I’m forced to cancel them! Don’t let me cancel them! We’ve got some making up to do after last week’s weather debacle-so start the week strong with a great metabolic workout!

  • Still have 14 folks left to get weighed in so I can announce some AWESOME LOSSES for last week! (So far I am really excited about what I see!)
