White Bean Chili anyone???

“It’s ok to be unsure, to ask for help, to have a bad day a bad moment and even make a bad decision. What’s not ok is if you don’t brush it off and try again. Don’t choose the easy way out, point fingers and blame others for your situation, take action!”

~James Blackburn, TFW affiliate

The “W.O.W.” (word of the week) is DOMINATE! The path of least resistance rarely leads to anywhere great. If you want to DOMINATE your goals, your dreams, your LIFE…you must first DOMINATE yourself! Take action, and never give up!

“What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?” ~Robert Schuller

Profound quote and words that resonate with me today! The “little voice” inside your head can be daunting, especially when it is filled with fear of failure or littered with “what if’s?”. Today…attempt something as if there is no chance of failure. Tell the “little voice” who’s boss, and remember the “W.O.W.”-DOMINATE!

DOMINATE your day!

The “W.O.W.” = DOMINATE!!!

“When the past tries to DOMINATE your thoughts, let your dreams IGNITE your day”! ~Author Unknown

The “W.O.W.” (word of the week) = DOMINATE! By definition, this means to: 1) to have control over or power over (someone or something) 2) to be the most important part of (something) 3) to be much more powerful or successful than others in a game, competition, etc. Now, apply this word to your health & fitness goals, your relationships, your career, anything you wish to excel in…get after it! You know how an Olympian is able to DOMINATE in their sport? They work hard and they dedicate everything they’ve got to being the best at it. If you want bigger results, you need to DOMINATE the little voice inside your head holding you back!

The Dailey RECIPE: “Refrigerator Jam”! I found this recipe on Raw Food Revolution’s Facebook page and must try it! Super easy, natural, & pretty much guilt free!

“TAKE ON” instead of “taking off” this weekend!

“Your success will not be measured by how many days you get to “take off”, but instead by how many you “TAKE ON”!

~Martin Rooney

Although it is the end of the week, this is your little reminder not to “take off” too early today. Remember that guy or girl that always took the day off? Yeah, I don’t remember them either…

The word of the week “W.O.W.” is EXTRAORDINARY! Go above and beyond the ordinary this weekend to find your victory! Coach Katie tells me she has an EXTRAORDINARY metabolic workout lined up for us tomorrow morning. I am so ready to get my sweat ON! I love to coach my students to be their best…but I am needing a good dose of it myself! Who’s ready to TAKE ON a challenge WITH me at 8:30 am!? (Sign up & reserve your spot!)

Whatever you do this weekend, be sure to do at least one thing that lights up your soul & renews your spirit!

Cheers!

Happy MONDAY Warriors!!!

The “W.O.W.” = EXTRAORDINARY!!! Becoming BETTER today than you were yesterday is easy…you just have to put a little bit of “EXTRA” into your ORDINARY!  Think of ONE area of your life that you seek change…and just give 1% MORE to it today. 1% every day ADDS UP to A LOT! Make it happen!

The message of October is Olympic Effort, & I am sharing stories to motivate my students to raise the bar this month! If you were one of the proud and strong that trained with the morning groups today, you heard the inspiring story about Billy Mills. He was virtually unknown as he entered the 1964 Tokyo Olympics for the 10,000 meter (6.2 mile) event. In fact, during the preliminaries his time was a full minute slower than Ron Clarke, the world record holder for this event-and the one who would set the pace for the race.  Despite being the underdog, and definitely not favored to even stay in the race, Billy Mills not only won the gold for this event…but finished in 28:24.4 to set a new world record for the event. Take a few minutes and watch this awesome clip of Billy Mills defying the odds against him & giving EXTRAORDINARY Olympic Effort to take home the gold! It will give you goose bumps! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F5iCsymMj0

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: DID YOU KNOW…that the Green-White colored foods such as Broccoli, Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts, & Cabbage contain Indoles/Lutein, antioxidants which eliminate excess estrogen and carcinogens from the body??? Make sure these foods are a part of your TOP 20 food choices each week!

Who’s on your TEAM?!

“The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don’t play together, the club won’t be worth a dime.”
~Babe Ruth

Who’s on your wellness TEAM, and is everyone playing together? Reality: very few people achieve their biggest health & fitness goals without total support from their friends, family, & coworkers. When it comes to big goals, you need more than a cheerleader on the sidelines telling you that “you can do it”. You need them to beside you, “playing” with you & working together as a TEAM.

EAT RED!

“A dog is not considered a good dog because he’s a good barker. A man is not considered a good man because he’s a good talker.”

~Buddha

This month’s motivation is all about OLYMPIC EFFORT! If you want to live your BEST, and bring home the “gold” in whatever you persue in life…you can’t just talk about it. You’ve got to DO IT! Spend less time on excuses and more time in ACTION!

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: EAT RED! Naturally red foods such as tomatoes, watermelon, red carrots, papayas & guava contain lycopene & antioxidants-which can lower the risk of cancer. The more naturally colorful the meal is, the more likely it is to have an abundance of cancer fighting nutirents!

The day is not over…make something amazing happen!

Happy Sunday Weekend WARRIORS!

I hope you are already planning your WINNING week ahead! Put forth Olympic Effort in whatever you pursue this week so you can bring home the GOLD in what you have chosen for yourself in life. Make sure the “little voice” inside your head is pumping you up with POSITIVE words. Positive thinking leads to positive action…and my friends, positive ACTION leads to RESULTS!

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: EAT A COLORFUL PLATE! The more naturally colorful your meal is, the more likely it is to have an abundance of cancer-fighting nutrients. Pigments that give fruit & vegetables their bright colors represent a variety of protective compounds.

Olympic EFFORT!

Posted on

Happy First Friday of October!

The overall message for this month: OLYMPIC EFFORT! Most of us may never go and compete at the Olympic Games in a sporting event, but we can all use similar strategies of our favorite athletes of the Games and give an Olympic Effort in whatever it is we pursue. I believe that we can all be an Olympian. Once you understand what the term “Olympian” really means, you will too. When you look the term up in the dictionary, here is what you’ll find:

Olympian

  1. Majestic in Manner
  2. Superior to Mundane Affairs
  3. Surpassing all Others in Scope and Effect

At Dailey Fitness/TFW, we are training you to deliver an Olympic effort in everything that you do. At the end of this month is Halloween. This year, instead of spending time coming up with a famous character to impersonate, why not spend the month impersonating the “best you” possible. This month, look and act the way you would if you were operating at your best. This is the challenge and you will surely find something interesting on Oct. 31st: If you act a certain way long enough, you will eventually become what you act!

A STORM is brewing! Tomorrow: TRICECTA HURRICANES are hitting the studio! If you want a great metabolic blast with a chance to put your Olympic Effort into ACTION…sign up for the 8:30am session with Katie! You will NOT be disappointed that you got up early on a Sat. morning for this! Weather permitting-OUTDOOR warmup too!
